Sunday and Weekday Studies for All Ages

St. Thomas is dedicated to Christian Formation and offers enriching studies and experiences to help students and adults develop their talents to become all that God desires for them to be.

INFANTS AND TODDLERS

Loving, trained, and qualified nursery child care is provided for young children ages 0 - 3 during worship, education, and nearly all church activities. Ushers will help you find the nursery located in the education wing on the south side of the campus. For those who'd like to keep their infants and toddlers closer during worship, please know they are welcome in church.

CHILRENS CHAPEL

Kids up to age 12 have their very own Chapel Service. Every Sunday morning at 9:15, children are invited to a separate space during the first part of the church service. After they enjoy a bible lesson, crafts and a snack, they rejoin their grownups in big church before Communion. In Chapel, children have an opportunity to hear and experience scripture in fun, developmentally appropriate ways.

OASIS STUDENT MINISTRY

Oasis Student Ministry is for Middle and Senior High students. The focus of Sunday education is scripture and its practical application for today’s young people.

St. Thomas Church provides a fun place for children and teens to experience worship, encouragement, fellowship and service to others. Your young person will feel accepted and loved while participating in Sunday school, and special events and programs in a safe environment.

Camp Weed

Beautiful Camp Weed has been a favorite part of summer for Episcopal children more than 80 years.
In addition to the annual summer camp, Camp Weed offers retreats and other youth programs on its 520 acres of unspoiled nature. Scholarships are available.

ADULTS

Jewish Christian Bible Study

Father Bob Goolsby and Rabbi Merrill Shapiro lead a facinating study of the Bible at St. Thomas every Tuesday at 1 p.m. in room 104. Members of St. Thomas come together with Jewish friends in our community for an in-depth study of Hebrew and Christian Scriptures. Rabbi Shapiro leads the study of Old Testiment texts, and Father Bob discusses the upcoming Sunday's scripture readings. Rabbi Shapiro also shares insight into the ancient Jewish traditions that shaped the Christian texts. If you would like to receive a ZOOM invitation, please contact the church office.

OTHER STUDIES

Throughout the year Christian Book and Bible Studies are offered on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday evenings. During the Seasons of Advent and Lent, special evening studies help us prepare for Christmas and Easter.
