Assistance Ministry

The Assistance Ministry is comprised of the Assistance Ministry Program and The Ride to Church Program.

The mission of the Assistance Ministry Program is to provide voluntary services to members of St. Thomas who encounter difficulties and are unable to handle the situation because they live alone and do not have family members or friends nearby to assist them.

Program volunteers respond to requests for services by providing comfort and companionship at the time of crisis and maintaining contact with the members to ensure that they are safe and able to carry out the requirements of daily living.

Services provided under the program include:

  • visit the member at their home, hospital, or nursing home
  • alerting the members’ family or friends of an update
  • transportation to professional appointments, doctor’s offices, etc. within the boundaries of Flagler County
  • transportation to church. grocery stores, and other facilities as needed.

Services of the program are engaged upon request of the member, customarily through the clergy or the church office. The form can be downloaded from the link here or by contacting the church office for additional information.

The Assistance Ministry and its affiliated programs offer voluntary basic services as noted above. They do not provide professional services of any kind, endorsements of professional organizations, or services relating to such organizations.

If you would like assistance, click here to download the form, complete and submit to the office.
